Ain Amal Initiative
Small Steps-Big Impact
Launched by Shehersaaz in 2013, the Ain-Amal initiative is a pioneering campaign focused on promoting environment-friendly practices across Pakistan. The initiative began with a community event at Trail 5, Islamabad, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal: to protect and enhance the environment through sustainable actions.
The first Ain-Amal Awards took place in 2014 at Bahria University Islamabad, where students, faculty, environmental experts, and professionals gathered to recognize and celebrate impactful green initiatives. The event saw tremendous participation, shining a spotlight on innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future. Shehersaaz published a book titled ‘My Action for Environmental Affection’ after the event highlighting works of the participants while appreciating their efforts.
Building on this success, the second Ain-Amal Awards were held at National University of Science and Technology Islamabad while celebrating “World Environment Day on June 5 2024, further expanding the reach of the campaign and encouraging greater participation in environmental preservation and green initiatives. By bringing academic institutions, professionals, and communities together, Ain Amal continues to highlight and support green projects, fostering a culture of sustainability and responsible environmental responsibility across Pakistan.
